Indian team arrives in Chandigarh


Chandigarh, Mar 26 :




The Indian cricket team, led by skipper M S Dhoni, arrived here today amid tight security ahead of the World Cup semi-final against Pakistan to be played in Mohali on March 30.

Indian players, including Sachin tendulkar, VirenderSehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Zaheer Khan and Gautam Gambhir were taken from the airport to hotel Taj amid tight security.

Security personnel were deployed on both sides of the road from Chandigarh airport to the Taj hotel.

Pakistan team, which reached here yesterday, was also staying in the same hotel. 

The hotel had virtually turned into a fortress with heavy security in and outside the building. Over 1000 police personnel had been deployed to provide security to the two teams.
