Wakf Properties Protection Society (DWPPS), has demanded state
government to intervene in the illegal construction taken up by the MIM
leader and brother of Malakpet MLA Abdullah Balala in old city.

Bin Mohammed Alhajiri, president, DWPPS, stated here in a press
conference on Monday, that there is a notified Wakf property situated at
Motigalli, Khilwat in old city, bearing Municipal No. 20-4-231
described as Maqbera Nawab Kawanjah Bahadur, on which an illegal
construction had been validated by one MIM leader. He said that the
accused was Shah Faisal Bin Abdullah Balala who is doing realtor
business, being MIM corporator and a brother of Malakpet MLA.
He
alleged that Balala had excavated the area, which was up to an extent
of about 500 sq yards and bulldozed the tomb and grave of Nawab
Kawanja Bahadur, who was the son of third Mir Akbar Ali Khan Foulad Jung
Sikandra Jah Bahdur the Asif Jah III.
He
criticised that government has so far not taken steps to protect the
particular wakf property and unable to restrain the illegal
construction undergoing upon the grave and tomb. He expressed anguish
that in spite of several representations forwarded to Wakf Board and
GHMC, no action had been taken against the accused realtor.
He
informed that the society was forced to approach Andhra Pradesh State
Wakf Tribunal also for seeking necessary action and justice.
